Thanksgiving 2005

I've recapped my Thanksgiving in excruciating photographic detail...

Katie came to visit. Tom brined a 13 lb. turkey, and his first attempt was a great success. Aunt Celia hooked us up with a huge, glamorous Chelsea apartment as a result of her dogsitting gig.

We cooked. We ate. We gave thanks.

Brined and Ready

We forgot to buy a rack, so we used a trick from Martha Stewart and used celery. McGyver Turkey! Posted by Picasa

Sandy the Dog

My aunt's dog is more cat than dog. She never fetches or barks. She just looks at you with disdain and waits to be stroked. Posted by Picasa

This is what Brussel Sprouts look like!

Orangette inspired me to post this photo. Her recipe looks amazing.

I had never seen brussel sprouts on the vine (stem?) before we went to Philiadelphia and saw them at the market. Fascinating and delicious. Posted by Picasa
